A Strong Visual is a Must

Always include your logo, and design with a color scheme and visuals that represent your company.

Ask For The Order!

Tell them what they need to do next.

Emphasize Your Contact Information

Your website and phone number should appear on both sides.

See Ultimate Test

Ask For The Order

Tell them what they need to do next.

We Often Suggest Using a Free Estimate as an Initial Offer

Free estimates give homeowners an immediate value that isnt dependent on them making a purchase.

Tell Them Why You Are The Best Choice

List the benefits of your services.

Keep Copy To A Minimum

When adding copy, keep your message clear, concise and impactful.

Demonstrate Credibility

Include logos to boost your trustworthiness: Better Business Bureau, Trade association, Licence number.

Follow USPS Guildelines

The bottom 3/4'' of the postcard is used by the USPS for barcoding. Text in this area cause the mail to be returned. See Safety Zone & Address area on our specs.

DOES YOUR POSTCARD PASS THE UTLIMATE VISUAL TEST?

A Homeowner takes just seconds to decide if they need the postcard received.

THE TEST: Strip away the words. Which postcard is selling something the homeowner needs?

Loser

We've seen many images tested that have failed because they do not instantly say this is from a mover.

Cute images and puns require reading and understanding the content. The quick visual test leaves homeowner confused about what the postcard is about. Is this from a Dairy Delivery company?

Boxes with families does not instantly say mover. Is this about buying boxes?

Some stock artwork is ok but most of the time it is clear that it is not a real image from this business. A custom image always performs better than stock images.

Winner

An Image of your moving truck instantly says this is from a mover and will be kept because a homeowner needs to hire a mover.

We recommend custom photos:

  • Actual picture of your truck (new smart phones take a quality photo so it doesn't need to be professional photo)
  • Include your crew which is great introduction and shows the homeowner who they are hiring.

Our Design Tips

Tip 1:

Turn Templates into Custom Design
  • Add your own pictures of your truck or your crew (DIY - New smartphones take high-quality photos)
  • Change colors to match your branding
  • Add logos for professional organizations

Tip 2:

Keep the Content Concise

A limited number of bullets is easier to read than a paragraph of text.

Tip 3:

CTA & Offer

"Call for a Free Estimate" combines both your Call to Action (CTA) and an offer that homeowners value and can redeem now without having to hire.
